It's Alive!
After working on it for a month and a half, Ol' Blue lives again!
He started right up, and ran true. He was out of commission for so long because of an underpreforming EnDuraLast alternator kit, and the salesman who refused to admit something might be wrong with the system despite a month's worth of many electrical tests, emails, and tens of people saying otherwise, until it finally wouldn't keep the bike running. Eventually he was gracious enough to give me a full refund.
After I returned the EnDuraLast, I ordered the tried-and-true Omega, which took a while to get to me b/c of shipping delays, and took a while to install because of life delays on my end :)

I was thinking about getting the omega for my 1979 R65. I'm hoping to see how it does before I get one. How hard was it to install? Are the instructions pretty straight forward? It looks like it performs well in the video.
Congrats on getting the bike running again. These R65's sure are fun bikes.
Hi Lee!
Thanks for the comment. To be honest, the instructions weren't that easy to follow, and they made installation seem more complicated than it actually was, but actual installation was an absolute breeze. I'm sure you'll have no problem :)
